RESTORATION COMPANIES & CRAFTSPEOPLE

Assistance is provided to architects, interior designers, conservation workers and craftspeople engaged in building restoration works to establish what a property would have looked like originally and how it has altered over the decades. Designs can be sourced for both external features and internal fixtures and fittings. Original specifications and plans are sought, as are old photographs, inventories, design registers and other sources that inform the design process.
Laura's research into the original plan form of a Grade II*-listed country mansion in Devon allowed RMA Heritage and the architects to make a strong case for returning an internal octagonal-shaped courtyard with a 19th-century Gothic Revival makeover to its original medieval square plan.
