YOUR FAMILY'S STORY

Get in touch if you would like a professional to research your family history from scratch, piecing together the lives of the people who came before you using archival documents. Support can also be supplied to people researching their own trees who have found themselves at a brick wall. The findings are usually presented in a detailed research report.
COMMUNITY RESEARCH PROJECTS

Whether your community is researching the names on a war memorial or wants to learn more about the people who resided in historic houses within a village, Laura can assist with a wide range of funded projects for exhibitions and anniversary events. For example, she worked with Pangbourne College in Berkshire to find out more about the first Captain-Superintendent W. H. F. Montanaro in preparation for the school's centenary celebrations.
TRACING LIVING DESCENDANTS

Laura uses genealogical methods to trace current contact details for living descendants of people who died as long as 150 years ago (and sometimes even longer than that!) Using a technique known as 'forward reconstruction', Laura has traced descendants of men who died during WW1 for the Channel 4 series Not Forgotten, and more recently for the MoD as part of a project to identify the remains of WW1 soldiers.
Please contact Laura to discuss any of the above options further.
